Prior to the eruption of Vesuvius, Pompeii was a thriving city. Then it was buried with so little warning in 79 A.D. that Pompeii was literally frozen in time.

Wong Kar-Wai

Wong Kar-Wai is difinitely one of my favourite film director. "Days of Being Wild" is the first film which he directed, wrote and produced by himself.
It is an inaccessible art film to some, but a compelling portrait of human emotion to others. Whatever your preference, Wong Kar-Wai's classic drama is easily one of the key Hong Kong films of the late eighties and early nineties.
Wong Kar-Wai has made mention that In the Mood for Love was his unofficial follow-up to Days of Being Wild, in which the characters played by Tony Leung Chiu-Wai and Maggie Cheung embark on their near-affair. Maggie Chueng's character is named So Lai-Chun in both films.

Carsten Höller in Tate Modern

Finally, I went to see the Slider of Carsten Höller. " The slides are impressive sculptures in their own right, and you don’t have to hurtle down them to appreciate this artwork. What interests Höller, however, is both the visual spectacle of watching people sliding and the ‘inner spectacle’ experienced by the sliders themselves, the state of simultaneous delight and anxiety that you enter as you descend."written by Tate Modern

Mugensha's 3rd perfomance in london kicked off!

Japanese Theatre Company "Mugensha" is coming to London as their 3rd performance in London. I help them as a volunteer staff (not as an actress!) . The story is about that "it is modern Japan not too long ago. Writers in a slump and having trouble making ends meet have pawned themselves as products. In the courtyard of this pawnshop an absurd battle of creativity unfolds amongst the writers struggling to make their ultimate masterplece..."
The play is with an English narration so don't worry who don't understand any Japanese. You
can find more about the play on the link to: http://www.mugensha.net/e/e_top.html
Do NOT miss this wonderful opportunity to see Japanese culture and play in LONDON!

Yesterday's enjoyable Kabuki in London 1

“The impact of this performance is breathtaking... Truly thrilling stuff.” ★★★★★METRO

kabuki is back onstage at Sadler’s Wells for a brief season, headlined by Ebizo Ichikawa XI.
I visited the theatre on the 7th of June. It was amazing night.

Dating from the early 17th century, Kabuki is one of Japan's oldest and most magnificent art forms. This is a rare opportunity to see authentic Kabuki performed by Japan's most iconic performers.

The programme features two classic Kabuki works: the visually stunning Fuji Musume, in which The Wisteria Maiden dances against a gorgeous backdrop of wisteria flowers; and Kasane, a dramatic tale of love, murder and revenge, famous for its beautiful musical accompaniment.

"Ichikawa Ebizo XI"
This visit features Kabuki superstar Ebizo XI, from the new generation of the famous Ichikawa familywho have set the standard for Kabuki performance for eleven generations, dating back to 1673. With his film-star looks, 28 year old Ebizo is one of Japan's most popular actors, credited for re-introducing Kabuki to new generation.

Luckily, "Ebizo san"turned up after the play at that night so I got a brilliant his sign. It's really really hard to get close to him in Japan as he is super popular! I am so lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He wore Jinbei(type of kimono)and put on sunglasses even night time!?Btw, can you see my head on bottom right?
